Rumors suggest that LG has an entry-level handset dubbed LG K7 in the pipeline, and the company will launch it in the next few months.
LG has launched a number of entry-level to top-end smartphones in 2015 and it seems that the company will continue to launch more handsets in 2016. Venture Beat cites its own sources and reports that LG K7 (code named M1) is definitely an entry-level mobile phone.
“This is clear thanks to its five-inch display, which our sources say has a resolution of just 480 x 854 FWVGA,” reports Venture Beat.
The LG K7 is rumored to include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor clocked at 1.1GHz and 1.5 GB of RAM. The smartphone is estimated to include 8 GB of internal storage. With only 8 GB on-board storage, the handset should include a microSD card slot, which can enable customers to expand the memory with a microSD card.
Normally, smartphones include a better rear-facing camera in comparison to the front-facing camera. However, if rumors are legit, then the LG K7 will include a 5MP front-facing camera as well as a 5MP rear-facing camera.
The LG K7 may offer 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and microUSB support. The upcoming LG K7 will run on an Android operating system, probably Android 5.1 Lollipop.
Experts believe that being an entry-level phone, the LG K7 should not have a price tag of over $200.
The LG K7 is expected to be launched on T-Mobile in the U.S. Previously, T-Mobile offered several entry-to-mid level LG smartphones in the U.S., which includes LG G Stylo, LG Optimus F3Q and LG Leon LTE.
Rumors of the LG K7 are not new. In November, famous leakster Evan Blass, going by the name @Evleaks on Twitter, posted that the LG K7 will be available in mid-Q1 2016.
LG has not yet confirmed any details about the LG K7 so smartphone enthusiasts should take all rumors about the handset with a pinch of salt.
