The Union authorities on Friday released licence suggestions for virtual community Operators (VNO).
“After considering the hints of Trai on VNO, the authorities has decided to grant Unified Licence VNO (UL VNO),” the telecom department said in its recommendations.
It stated VNOs had been handled as extension of network service Operator or telecom service carriersand “they would not be allowed to install equipment interconnecting with the community of differentNSOs.”
“VNOs shall also be allowed to create their very own service deliver systems in respect of customer service, billing and value introduced provider,” the guideline stated.
regarding entry rate, the rule of thumb stated: “A one-time non-refundable access fee for authorisation of each carrier and provider place will be payable before signing of licence agreement and thereafter foreach additional authorisation. the full amount of access rate will be subject to a maximum of Rs. 7.fivecrore.”
