IBPS PO can get you into public sector banks either as a Probationary Officer or as a Management Trainee. But, you have to deal with two phases of IBPS PO– one is Prelims and the other is Mains. You can expect the IBPS PO Result of Prelims in the month of November 2016 and of Mains, in the month of December 2016. IBPS PO 2016 Prelims was conducted on 3 days of October month – 16, 19, and 23. While, IBPS PO2016 Mains was on November 20, 2016. You are finally selected only on merit–cum–preference basis.
For IBPS PO, the minimum educational qualification you need to have is of graduation level. In case, you are still in the final year of graduation than also you can apply for IBPS PO. Considering age factor, you should be of 20 years of age but not more than 30 years. However, there is some age relaxation but, only for some certain category candidates.
IBPS POis an online examination for which applicationsare accepted through online mode only. There isn’t any offline method available for you to fill its application form. Coming over to the admit card of IBPS PO, you can download it from the official website of IBPS, only if you know your Roll No. or Registration number and date of birth or password. If you think, that you might get the Admit Card through post or any other offline method than you are totally wrong. You yourself have to keep track of its release date and download it online from the official website of IBPS PO only.
Out of thousands of candidates, who appear for IBPS PO every year, you have to be very smart and need to work very hard to win through this competition. Do an extensive study of syllabus prescribed for IBPS POand follow the preparation tips, as they are sometimes, actually very helpful while preparing for an examination. Let’s now jump to IBPS PO Result which is declared in the months of November and December, respectively for Prelims and Mains. If you manage to score somewhat close to the cut off score of Mains examination of IBPS PO, then only you can qualify for the interview part. Basically, your general knowledge and attitude is tested during this interview. People sitting in front of you, tests if you are suitable for the job profile and if you can adapt the banking environment. These IBPS PO Personal Interviews are conducted only at some selected centers and their conducting body is usually the participating banks which are coordinated by the Nodal Bank in each State or UT. Let’s talk about the selection process of IBPS PO. Selection procedure of IBPS PO is basically, divided into three stages, namely:
- Online Preliminary Examination
- Online Main Examination
- Personal Interview
Online Preliminary Exam is the first stage you have to go through, while battling with IBPS PO. This exam is conducted only and is in objective form. You have to face English language, Quantitative aptitude and Reasoning ability, in the prelims stage. If you wish to reach to second stage i.e. Mains Exam, you have to clear the prelims part at any cost. You have to touch the cut off by qualifying all three sections of prelims.
Once you are done with Prelims, you have to go through Main Examination. There you have to fight with five sections, which are English, Reasoning, Quantitative, Computer knowledge, and General Awareness. Don’t take this exam lightly at all, as marks obtained in this examination are counted for the final merit list. After getting over with Mains exam the final stage arrives where you have to come one on one with the interview panel.
Lastly, you have to just answer the questions of interview panel very smartly and sharply. All you have to do is to win over the questions and hearts of interviewer in this last stage of selection process of IBPS PO, and secure more than 40% marks out of 100. After generating a combined score with the ratio of mains and personal interview score, the list of lucky candidates is declared, who have finally won the battle and got themselves a job in public sector banks.
