New concept renders envision a sleek OnePlus 3 smartphone with a beautiful design and virtually no edges, hinting at what could be in the cards.
In an increasingly competitive smartphone market with a slew of options to choose from, OnePlus quickly grew in popularity worldwide thanks to its great handsets with affordable prices. The company launched three smartphones so far – the OnePlus One, the OnePlus 2 and the OnePlus X – and all three have raised plenty of interest among consumers.
The OnePlus X is the midranger of the family, while the OnePlus One and OnePlus 2 are the “flagship killers” that compete at the high-end market. The OnePlus 3 should come as the next flagship, succeeding the OnePlus 2, but it’s not real just yet.
The current OnePlus 2 flagship just ditched the infamous invite system and should thus make its way to more shoppers, but the prospect of its successor is already having us dreaming of a bezel-free future.
To set things straight from the start, here’s the deal: OnePlus has not announced any plans yet regarding an upcoming OnePlus 3 or some other new smartphone. The handset envisioned here is just a concept, showing what it could be like, but does not actually depict a real product.
That said, famous concept designer Jermaine Smit put his skills to good use with his new OnePlus 3 concept, creating a tantalizing video that shows a gorgeous design.
The OnePlus 3 envisioned by Smit rocks a stylish metal frame with beveled edges and slightly curved corners, complementing a virtually bezel-free display. The smartphone also seems to have a USB Type-C on its bottom side, while the main camera on its rear looks quite impressive.
The rear side of the OnePlus 3 concept phone further shows a brushed metal design, with one shot also revealing a nice textured finish. On the front, a selfie cam is located in the top right corner.
The envisioned smartphone looks slim and stylish overall and it would be interesting to see such a design materialize with the next-generation OnePlus.
