The Toxic singer is said to have a conservatorship where under US law a responsible adult is appointed to look after the finances of another adult that can’t care or manage their own finances themselves.
This arrangement with her dad Jamie Spears came about after Britney’s mental breakdown in 2008 which saw her shave her hair bald, vandalise a paparazzo’s car with an umbrella, and get checked into rehab.
A source revealed to Page Six: ‘Britney just keeps working and working, and everybody around her gets paid.
‘It’s astonishing how hard she works, how well behaved she is now, but she still cannot make decisions about her own finances or personal life without the approval of her conservators.’
However, regardless of the arrangements, the 35-year-old is said to be ‘in the best place she’s ever been.’
Last year the publication revealed that every expense the singer makes is tracked and recorded in official court documents to safeguard her fortune.
They reported that she pays her dad $130,000 (£103,000) a year to manage her affairs and her other conservator is lawyer Andrew M.Wallet.
