Sun Pharma, ITC, Lupin, Axis Bank, TCS and Infosys were the top losers in the Nifty pack.
The index was trading 1.10 per cent down at 284 around 10.25 am (IST) with shares of Indiabulls Real EstateBSE -1.03 % (down 2.20 per cent), Delta CorpBSE -0.71 % (down 1.67 per cent), DLF (down 1.41 per cent), UnitechBSE 6.30 % (down 1.32 per cent), Oberoi RealtyBSE 0.47 % (down 1.20 per cent) and Housing Development & Infrastructure (down 1.04 per cent) declining over 1 per cent.
Sobha (up 0.42 per cent) was the only component in the index trading in green around that time.
Selling in pharma, FMCG, bank and IT stocks, triggered by weak Asian cues kept domestic equity markets low.
Sun Pharma, ITCBSE -2.25 %, LupinBSE -1.61 %, Axis BankBSE -1.35 %, TCSBSE -0.71 % and InfosysBSE -0.41 % were the top losers in the Nifty pack.
On the contrary, GailBSE 0.88 %, Reliance Industries, Indiabulls Housing Finance and UltraTech Cements were gaining.
In the Nifty50 pack, 14 stocks were trading in green, while 37 stocks were in red.
On BSE, 887 stocks were advancing whereas 1,081 stocks were lagging.
