“There is no clean chit to Bhujbal or anyone else and the probe was going on (in the connection with the alleged Maharashtra Sadan scam)” Mr Fadnavis told reporters, covering Maharashtra Assembly session at their camp residence ‘Suyog’, this morning.
The Chief Minister was responding to reports that Bhujbal, who is facing Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) probe, has been given clean chit in connection with an alleged scam in construction of Maharashtra Sadan in the national capital.
He said all those facing probe (including Bhujbal) are given a questionnaire for replying and the process is being conducted by the ACB.
In June this year, the Maharashtra ACB filed an FIR against Bhujbal, who was the PWD minister in the erstwhile Congress-NCP regime in Maharashtra, in connection with the alleged Maharashtra Sadan scam.
The case relates to awarding of contract for construction of new building of Maharashtra Sadan, the state government’s guest house in New Delhi.
Meanwhile, Mr Fadnavis also said the proposed Nagpur-Mumbai communication express highway will be a game changer and industries will come on both sides (of the highway) and it will be completed by 2019.
The Chief Minister also expressed apprehensions that the state economy will be affected since there were not sufficient rains and thereby the food grain productions and yield are low this year.
