Samsung last week quietly revealed a new budget J-Series smartphone in the India, the 2017 edition of Galaxy J2, without price. Now, the all-new Samsung Galaxy J2 (2017) is listed with price on the company site, and is available to buy in Black and Gold colour variants. The Samsung Galaxy J2 (2017) is priced at Rs. 7,390.
The Samsung Galaxy J2 (2017) is being touted to come with Smart Manager for automatic memory management which will help delete duplicate images on the device automatically, and also delete saved APK files. The smartphone also comes with Ultra Data Saving mode that the company claims can help users save up to 50 percent data.
The Android-based Galaxy J2 (2017) features a 4.7-inch qHD (540×960 pixels) Super AMOLED display. It is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core Exynos processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. The handset comes with 8GB inbuilt storage out of which only 4.3GB is user accessible. It supports expandable storage via microSD card (up to 128GB).
The Galaxy J2 (2017) sports a 5-megapixel rear autofocus camera with flash, and a 2-megapixel front camera. The dual-SIM handset supports USB on-the-go (USB OTG). On the connectivity front, it comes with 4G, GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, Glonass, and 3.5mm audio jack. It will be available in Metallic Gold and Absolute Black colours. It measures 136.5x69x8.4mm and weighs 130 grams. The handset is backed by a 2000mAh removable battery.
To recall, last week, popular Mumbai-based offline retailer Mahesh Telecom claimed that the Samsung Galaxy J2 (2017) had been launched in India, and revealed the price as Rs. 7,390.
