NEW DELHI: Realty shares were trading with losses in Monday’s morning session.
Shares of Indiabulls Real Estate (down 10 per cent), Oberoi RealtyNSE -3.52 % (down 4.32 per cent), DLFNSE -3.95 % (down 2.43 per cent) and Sobha (down 2.26 per cent) were trading in the red.
Sunteck Realty (down 2.24 per cent), Godrej Properties (down 2.08 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects (down 1.71 per cent) and Phoenix Mills (down 0.39 per cent) too were trading lower.
The Nifty Realty index was trading 2.22 per cent down at 255.90 around 10:08 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 76.70 points at 11,435.70 while the BSE Sensex was down 255.80 points at 38,566.77.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 12 were trading in the green, while 38 were in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Indiabulls Housing Finance, SBI, Ashok Leyland, Tata Motors, Bank of Baroda, SAIL, Dish TV India and JSPL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
