From what we are hearing now, the answer to this question might be never! The deal is that HTc has announced another stripped down version of the flagship, which is called HTC 10 Lifestyle.
Now getting to what is different in this phone. It is primarily the processor. While at the global launch, HTC is offering a Snapdragon 820 processor, the India variant will come with a Snapgradon 652. It is an octa-core SOC which is clocked to up to 1.8GHz.
Also the India variant comes with 3GB of RAM as opposed to 4GB in the global variant. The rest of the stuff remains pretty much the same.
HTC’s stuck with its premium, all-metal design material, but the 10 features heavily chamfered, mirrored edges on the rear and a fingerprint scanner (and no logo!) below the screen on the front.
The 5.2-inch Super LCD 5 display has a QHD resolution with Android Marshmallow in tow.
Android has been coated in HTC’s newest instalment of its Sense UI, which brings more customization to your fingertips including Freestyle layout, allowing you to use a selection of themed stickers as app icons.
So far there is no word on what will be the price of HTC 10 Lifestyle in India and from when it will go on sale. Also as of now, the Taiwanes phone maker has not announced any other markets in which they will be offering HTC 10 Lifestyle but we think it will be making its way to a few other emerging markets.
While there are some critics that feel that there is not much of a difference in HTC 10 and HTC 10 Lifestyle, we feel that it is a big deal. Afterall, we are referring to HTC’s next flagship here. What are your thoughts of this move, let us know through the comments below.
