Cryptocurrency has been ‘hot’ and ‘hip’ for a bit now and some might say it even los its initial appeal ever since it has become more mainstream. With it becoming more mainstream is also saw a wider audience engaging with it and more and more platforms opening up and offering Cryptocurrency trade for everyone. You don’t need to be a geek/nerd etc anymore to trade in Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum, and more.
Even here in Thailand we now have platforms that openly allow you to trade the most common cryptocurrencies without much hassle. The two most ‘trustworthy’ ones seem to be BitKub and Satang as they both are verified by the DBD (Department of Business Development) as trustworthy eCommerce websites.
BitKub
I personally like bitkub a bit better than Satang for the fact that verification happened way faster on bitkub. I order to verify you have to submit a picture of your passport/id card and a selfie with the date and the word bitkub/satang on it. Later on then you have to upload/verify your bank account as well before making orders. The whole process simply went smoother on bitkub.
Moreover I like the interface a tad bit better – maybe thanks to the dark mode, or due to the layout of the dashboard.
Both sites are similar in that they will show you the current development of the different cryptocurrencies on their ‘market’ pages. Once you topped up (transferred money from your bank account into bitkub/satang) you will be able to use the deposited amount to then buy/sell cryptocurrencies for the value they show you while it happens. Once you send an order, your order will be queued and you will receive the amount of cryptocurrency as per exchange rate when the exchange happens.
After that you can keep following your portfolio on your dashboard / app to see how you are doing. Really not that difficult anymore.

Satang
Binance
Binance has been a global player in the crypto market for quite a while now and is now also available in Thailand and for people with Thai bank accounts. While this is not a completely local platform it does offer all the prices etc. in Thai Baht, offers security verification via Thai mobile numbers and alike. So it’s very much just like the other platforms mentioned + the additional value of being a global player which makes the integration into 3rd party apps also much easier. Moreover the features on Binance are, in my opinion, a bit more full-fledged as the tracking of your investments and portfolio development seems easier and more native.

eToro
For those who might find Binance a bit confusing with all it’s features (it can feel a bit intimidating, especially at first), eToro‘s got your back! eToro is a great, global, platform for beginners and intermediates alike that makes getting started really easy. It doesn’t offer as many currencies as other platforms but therefore it’s pretty intuitive getting the hang of it + it keeps sending you updates and push notifications whenever interesting changes are happening in order to keep you alerted so you can make adjustments to your portfolio if needed.

Coinbase
What about the number one trading platform in the world? Well of course they also allow you to buy coins from Thailand. Coinbase, the first platform to go public, and comes with all the benefits of being the biggest, most trusted source out there.
